Hearing aids can be a challenge but Adrian has been adjusting really well. He didn’t complain nor request to have them off his ears. The teachers at school as well as the SLP are very pleased and excited on how Adrian starts to pick up those high frequency sounds that he’s not used to hear before. The next step is to make him use/say it!

We’ve also received notification to attend the Transition to Kindergarten meeting at the elementary school that Adrian will potentially attend this Sept. The meeting will be held on May 11th with us & Adrian, the Early Interventionist, the Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT), school board OT, PT, SLP, the itinerant resource teacher for the hearing impaired as well as the SLP we are currently working with at Markham Stouffville Hospital. They will then decide what resources are available and how they can accomodate Adrian's needs during the school year.
