PBMT - Day 291

Adrian's hair has gotten very long and messy that we have been thinking of giving him a haircut. The question is whether we'd do it or have a professional haircutter perform the task. So today we made the decision of taking him to a stylist for a haircut! We brought along our laptop and Adrian's favorite DVDs just to keep him entertained. Amazingly, Adrian behaved VERY WELL during the entire cut that he seldom moves and we thought we could have left the laptop home!! We later went for Italian food after the cut where Adrian sampled Fettucine in cream sauce for the first time. It's also his first time trying out food that was not made by Mama (except the congee at QMH). However, he wasn't brave enough to try the Pizza though.. maybe next time!

Adrian's first experience at the salon!!!

If it was me taking Kate to a salon for a professional cut (I cut her hair these past 4 years), I would probably hold a piece of paper underneath and catch all the falling pieces for my scrapbook... ha ha!

Next time, if Adrian is still unsure about trying pizza, try just giving him the crust. It's like finger food and it's not as oily. That's how we got Kate started on pizzas (We did that at a kids' X'mas party, and when the other parents saw that, they all followed suit). But when he's gotten used to the crust, he'll probably go for just the pepperonis. So don't really expect him to properly eat a slice of pizza in a mannerly way that is expected from an adult. It's only recently that Kate managed to eat her pizza slices all by herself. Before this, I still have to cut up her 'pepperoni-less' (since she picked them out first thing and ate them first) pizza into bite size pizzas and feed them to her myself.
