We brought along Adrian's medical records and arrived HKSH at 09:30 in the morning. First, a very caring nurse came by to apply some Elma Numbing Cream on Adrian's hands to help minimize the pain later when he will be poked for the radioactive injection. She even drew funny faces on the bandages that cover up the cream and blew up a heart-shaped balloon for Adrian while we were waiting to see the doctor. Next, we met with the doc and went over Adrian's medical history. Adrian was then given KI (Potassium Iodine) to take and the injection happened an hour after he had the KI so that his thyroid will be protected. We were done before noon and the first Scan will be performed 24 hours later i.e. noon tomorrow.
